Undergraduate Studies
Spanning disciplinary and cultural boundaries, the School of International Letters and Cultures advances knowledge about the world’s languages and their cultural products. Through teaching and research, the school opens both minds and doors to opportunity.
Created in direct response to today’s changing educational needs, the school replaces the Department of Languages and Literatures. Building upon the former department’s extensive traditional strengths in languages, literatures and cultures, the School of International Letters and Cultures creates interesting new transdisciplinary and cross-cultural opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students alike. It provides the training, critical knowledge and contextual background that will be increasingly vital in our interconnected world.
The ASU School of International Letters and Cultures is unique—founded on a global perspective, structured broadly and supported by innovative alliances with other departments, schools and centers. The school transforms the study of language, literature and culture at Arizona State University.
