Who we are

"SILC Learning Support Services" is here to provide Technology focused Instructional support for the needs of the faculty and students of the School of International Letters and Cultures.

Where We Are:

We are located in the basement, at the south end of the Language and Literatures building.

 

Our Facilities Consist Of:
            4 classroom "lab" spaces  (28 seats each)
               Scheduled classes, 1 time only special reservations, and drop-in student use
           Audio and Video Recording Area
                Self service or Let us record you
           Equipment and Media Distribution Room
                For Reserve and Checkout by SILC instructors and staff

The Rooms:
          Main Office - Room 62
              Do you have a question for someone in SILC LSS and you are not sure where to go?  You will want to go here.
          "Lab 1" - Room 61
              Known in the past as the "AV lab", has 2 classrom spaces of 28 seats, now has 28 new computers also
          "Lab 2" - Room 65
              Generally known as the "Computing Lab", has 2 classroom spaces of 28 seats each, with a PC at each seat.
          Distribution - Room 64
               This is where instructors can pick up equipment and where students can pick up distributed cassettes and CDs.
                Open during the hours posted below.  If the window is closed, please see a lab assistant in Room 65 for assistance.

              Record yourself - Audio and Video - Self Serve or with our help
              Record Video from Video Cassettes, DVDs, etc. to computer - Self Serve or with our help
