Master of Arts - German
The faculty in the School of International Letters and Cultures offers a graduate program leading to the degree of Master of Arts in German. Students admitted to the Master of Education program with a major in secondary education may elect German as their subject matter field.
Graduate students in German at Arizona State University form part of the local German community of more than 60,000 people. In addition to the German Air Force training facility at Litchfield Park and a growing number of German businesses in the Valley of the Sun, the German American National Congress and Austrian Society of Arizona regularly sponsor German cultural events.
Students have opportunities to travel and practice their skills through exchange programs with the German universities of Heidelberg, Tübingen, Stuttgart, Mannheim, Konstanz and Regensburg. In addition, students can participate in a five-week summer program in Tempe's sister city of Regensburg.
